Melting Pot

Then There Were Three

J informed me today that another of the chickens has been lost – with evidence that it was a kill. Rose is now gone as well. This leaves Chickfila, Regina, and Clover. The back of their enclosure is not protected by electric fencing like the other three sides are, because the back is rather heavily wooded. We figured they would be ok, and for a long time they were. Clearly that is no longer true. Hopefully between now and when J can add the electric fencing to the back the remaining girls will be left alone. It is sad, but when one has chickens such things happen even with things put in place to try to protect them.

I have much to do over the next few weeks. Life is happening and brining big changes for me. But more details about all that another time. I don’t want to jinx anything. Once again, I am going to try to at least keep up with No Filter Friday even if I can’t make other posts as often.

Until next time. xoxo
