Book Review

The Subtle Beauty by Ann Hunter

the subtle beauty

This was one of the more unique retellings of Beauty & the Beast that I have read, and one of only two that come to mind where the beauty really truly learns something valuable and grows as a person. The story was, overall, very well written albeit a little difficult to get into at first. The plot moves along at a pretty good pace though it ends fairly abruptly; I would have liked a little more time spent in the final chapter tying up the loose ends. It was a very enjoyable, quick read. I received this (e)book for free in exchange for this review.
